Save the Bees - save essential crops

rosiew(8 GA)July 12, 2012

Another disturbing report about, among other things, the effect of pesticides on the essential bee populations. This deserves a read, folks.

Also some awful facts about the deaths of hives that are transported, especially in California, to pollinate crops. I feel very disheartened at the moment.

Please feel free to cross-post to other forums or give me suggestions as to which would 'get it'.

How many hives do you have?
Honeybees are not the only pollinators.
Bees are not the only pollinators.
How long have you been a beekeeper?

jolj, I have no hives. And know there are many different insects which can pollinate. I posted this because I found it interesting and hoped some readers would also. Did you find areas that you would dispute?
