Virus testing

Sheila(8b SW Texas)June 12, 2012

I must check a number of plants for virus. Went to the agdia site but didn't know what to order. Are the agdia strips the easiest and least expensive way to check about ten plants? TIA

You want this one:

ISK 13301/0025 ImunoStrip CymCMV & ORSV

I just got my new batch. I regularly order two or three of these 25-test kits each year. I believe the minimum is the kit of 25 tests, which runs a bit over $100. I've used these for years.

Maybe you can find someone who will share an order with you if you only need 10 tests. Otherwise, they last a year in the refrigerator.

Carol, have you ever usd Critter
Creek? After reading the protocol for testing with Agdi strips,i think I'd rather have someone else doing the testing.

I've been doing it myself for years. Only takes a few minutes -- and I don't have to wait for results. Probably close to the same price.

I've heard nothing but good about Critter Creek also.
