Leaf spot on swiss chard

gaetanol(z6NY)August 11, 2007

I have what I believe is a case of leaf spot on my swiss chard. Anything I can do to prevent it from spreading to new leaves? Anyone tried any successful organic methods to control it?

Thanks in advance

There are, apparently, a couple of fungi that cause leaf spot on Swiss Chard, neither of which I have seen here, yet. A couple of common sprays for fungi are 1 teaspoon of baking soda in 1 quart of water, or a 50/50 mixture of fat free milk and water, sprayed every 5 to 7 days. How effective these would be for this I can't say.
