more orchid, more supplies, stimulate the economy!

stitzelweller(Md)December 6, 2010

I just received an email from Tom Biggart, who represents Sergio Gutfreund, Eco Orquideas, Brasil...

I look forward to my selections:

Lycaste rossyi

Cattleya bicolor v brasiliensis

Cattleya porphyroglossa (spotty x bronze color)

Cattleya intermedia marginata 'Vera X flamea

Oncidium (Baptistonia) nitidum

Pabstia jugosa

These will arrive next year. I'm ready for SPRING!!

I just ordered 4 cubic feet of medium size, chopped tree fern today from a Florida vendor.

Winter is a very busy orchid time!!

I hope to make my annual Christmas pilgrimage to Fishing Creek Orchids nr Harrisburg, PA next week!

I think you're onto something there Stitz. We should petition Congress to include a stimulus package for the orchid industry. Orchid hobbyists pay no taxes. And there should be a "cash for clunkers" program: give up your old gro-lights for energy efficient new ones! Admissions to all orchid shows are FREE.

(Nice selection for the Spring!)
