Anyone tried Ka-Bluey Blueberry?

botanicatDecember 30, 2009

I have seen the Ka-Bluey blueberry advertised in the Gurney's catalog for the last several years as the "most delicious blueberry ever" and wonder if anyone on here has tried it. Other than self-pollinating it doesn't indicate what type it is.

Although I find all the hype annoying, I bought a couple out of curiosity and to fill out a row. They did well their first year. I removed all blossoms and will do so again this coming year, so I can't comment on the taste. Verdict is still out on how they will overwinter. Still, I have no complaints thus far with them.
