repotting my curved dumbcane
Hi, I'm new to the site and am seeking advice about repotting and trimming down my very large dumbcane. It seems to have a severe case of scoliosis. If it were straight it would be about 8 feet long but the stem is so misshapen and curved that it's only about 4 feet tall. New leaves keep popping up and it seems very healthy so I'm afraid if I cut it I may damage it and, eventually, kill it. But as it is, it's really in the way of household traffic (as it grows, it pushes it's existing pot further and further into the room).
Is it safe to just cut it below all the leaves and stick it into a new pot of dirt? Or should I put it in water and let it re-root there? Or is there a better way I should go about it?
