How long should you use Miracle-Gro?

adumbrationAugust 14, 2007

My understanding is that Miracle-Gro is great to help plants start to grow fast, but that you should not use it for too long, because the roots don't develop at the same pace as the rest of the plant.

Challenge: About 40 Thuja bushes, currently 4 feet tall, 1 foot wide. Want to make them grow quickly. But don't want to "over use" Miracle-Gro.

Anyone know how much/how long is appropriate to use Miracle-Gro in this situation?

Thanks!

I only use Mirical grow for potted stuff....
For plants in the ground I feed the soil with compost, manure, bone meal and alfalfa and they do better than fine.
In my experience mirical grow does nothing to help plants start up and to grow fast. Try alfalfa pellets or alfalfa tea to really see results.
