Can this type of lime be used fro the garden?Or lawn?To sweeten up the soil.Without hurting it.

Any lime, except from trees, can be used just make sure that it is of the finest grind possible. Fine grinds will be absorbed fast and thus raise the pH faster.

Was there any particular reason you were considering using this? While it may well raise ph, there are no agricultural applications on the label, only those for mortar. Warning there that it may be caustic and can burn eyes, throat, skin - wear goggles, mask, gloves, boots when handling. Also a warning not to use on childrens play areas.

And hydrated lime has a lot more ooph to it, too. You should be careful not only how and where you apply it, but how much.
