So you guys told me that roses look a lot better their second year, but things are really starting to bloom now, and some that I was disappointed in last year really look markedly more beautiful or complex this year.
Already posted about Carding Mill in that regard, but this week I got to see Baronne Prevost blooming. Last year I planted a 2 gallon from Antique Rose Emporium and I was pretty underwhelmed by it's blooms. I thought they were flat, simple and boring (not simple in a good way). I was almost tempted to replace it, I disliked it so much.
The blooms this year are almost like a totally different rose (and I love it)
