Wasp nest in my greenhouse
I was just giving the greenhouse a midsummer cleaning and I discovered a good-sized wasp nest on the potting bench. I'm a little stumped about what to do. I can get a natural spray that uses peppermint oil, but I'm not sure I can get a good aim and still be in a position to run away when they inevitably come flying out of the nest. The nest is up under the potting bench, so to reach them with the spray I'll have to crouch way down and spray up at them.
With Raid and other awful products, it kills them right away, so I wouldn't be so worried about making a run for it. But with the natural-based ones I won't count on it killing them all immediately.
I could carry the potting bench outside, but no doubt that would irritate the wasps.
Suggestions? Anyone want to come over and try out their ideas? :)
