Can anyone help me identify my new adenium it was a gift by wife and she was told it was a socotranum can anyone verify or has she been tricked thanks all help is appreciated
Went to a nursery in Tucson, AZ and this is what theirs looked like...
It looks like it could be a A. socotranum based on the stem and caudex. I believe Rick is growing some from seed, and could help.
Laurie, what nursery would that be?
Thanks mark and Laurie I would live to know what nursery that is also :)
Mine appears to be but yet I'm still unsure thanks though
Anyone else confirm this please
It was Arid Lands Nursery. We visited another one in Tucson (owner is one of the co-authors of the book with Mark Dimmitt). This one is called Plants of the Southwest. Arid Lands Nursery had row and rows of seedlings at the time (arabicum, somalense, socotranum and different crosses). I purchased a boehmianum from Plants of the Southwest hoping it would grow to look like the one they had on display. It was huge! :) Spent hours looking at adeniums that day. Here are some pics.
Sorry about the multiple postings!
This thread makes me want to take a long field trip to Arizona! LOL
