How long after the flowers drop will you know if you might have seed pods?

A week or two. They sprout like two little horns.

Thanks Joe, waiting I do some pruning but wanted to wait and see if some dropped flowers on that branch would pod.

I noticed the flowers drop from the star shaped base and then that base drops from the stem in about a week or two. Would the pod come out of the star shaped base of the flower?

Yes the seed pod would come out of the remains of the flower. They will look like small horns in the beginning then look more like pods. Here is a picture of a seed pod that's about a week old.

Yep there it is coming out of the star. No pods on mine so I'll start prune away. Ok thanks for the info Joe!!
