Grafting and water needs

laurieinphxAugust 1, 2014

Just attempted to flat graft for the first time today and now wondering when and how often to they need more when freshly grafted? less? same?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

By the way...I live in hot, Hot, HOT Arizona...

Hello Laurie, congrats on your first attempted. I hope they all take for you.

About water, hold off water for both plants before graft (one for rootstock and one to be grafted on).

Keep the grafted plants in shaded area, and wait for at least a week before water, and when you do, not too wet.

Good luck.
