wanted: av's for postage

kyally(6)August 13, 2013

I would love to have a few African Violet's to add to my houseplant collection. My mother used to raise these & I remember the soft velvety feel of the leaf. I live in a very rural area and haven't been able to find a place to purchase av's. I am willing to pay postage if anyone has any they'd be willing to share.

Kyally, I am responding a couple of months late, but if you still want some plants, email me by clicking on "My Page" by my name and you will be able to send me a private email. I have some very nice named variety plants..

HI Kyally,
I can send you some in the spring, I have some plants
started. Follow the instructions that Perle gave to contact me by email so I can reserve some for you.

Perle, Did you ever find Trinidad II? I saw that Optimara
offers it for sale now. When I order from them, I place my order then call Monique, or email her and she lets me know if she has it in stock. I found that buying 3 for $20 saved
money and she let me pick out the three I wanted--rather than buying individually.

Yes, I did find Trinidad II, and its in full bloom right now. Lowe's had it a few months ago. It is a very easy one to propagate from leaf too.

Wow, maybe you will post a pic! Would love to see what it looks like, other than the photo on MyViolet. I have Cora--similar color, I think. But probably not as fluffy.
