Would you repot?

jerome(z9 CA)September 16, 2011

Sorry to keep pelting you all with a million questions!

I bought a "rescue" AV from a nursery about 6 weeks ago. Not knowing better, I re-potted it in a glazed pot using 100% AV potting mix...rather heavy. It seems to be growing, and is even sending up little flower stalks from between the leaves.

Question: Should I re-pot it with a mix of 1:1:1 vermiculite perlite and AV mix, or should I leave well enough alone and just improve/lighten the mix next time I re-pot?

I don't want to disturb the plant too often, unless I need to.

Thanks.

Jerome

I would wait until it finishes blooming, then repot.

Hear, hear!

and I will remove as much as possible of the old soil from the plant, remove spent bloomstalks, old damaged leaves if there any and if there any new buds coming - them too - to direct the energy on rerooting and regrowing.

I.
