Vodenit Gratis - not Russian - the closest for (Vodenit( is in Slovenian or Bulgarian means to dilute, water down.

Here is a link that might be useful: Vodjanoy - water spirit

There is a Russian violet "Vodjanoy" - translates as a water spirit - folk stories describe him a an evil spirit that deceives and drowns the victim that got close to the water or swamp.
Zelonye Korally = Green Corals
Volshebnaja Dolina - Magical Valley
Lazurit - is an English name of a dark blue mineral, Izumrudny Gorod - Emerald City
Madzhenta - aha - Magenta

lazurit=lapis lazuli
vodenit is a free internet music service. so 'vodenit gratis' is like 'free vodenit' like 'free itunes'. i don't know why it was named like this. but why name a violet like that ???
in croatian vodeni = water

well, the lazurit gratis was one I did not order, and was a gift, and perhaps i could not make out the writing, and it really meant free gift or free violet?

I suppose someone could name a violet ... 'little fart' ... and it would sound exotic in another language ...

thanks!

I think someone named Dave has a little too much time on his hands...

Must be another someone named dave ... my time is not my own. I'd love to meet him, I guess.

Tis why we both stay up so late, eh Linda?

The repartee between you folks is keeping me up late, too!
Of late, I've been tuning into this forum with my cup
of Sleepy Time tea. Between images of dueling rabbits
and a sweet Princess Bride with Prince Charming at
her side, I am vicariously entertained.

Thank you! Joanne

Dave, sounds middle English, or perhaps Shakespearean.
I wonder what the ten year olds I teach would think of
that euphemism?
(yes, still up, making plane reservations.)

my 4 yr old grandson is fine with it .... and i'd put him up against any of your 10 yo .... ha!

hmm ... perhaps he is a little too fine with it ... i'm going to have to talk with his dad!

dave

language is such a wonderful thing. If it weren't for that, we wouldn't be having all this problem with the gigantic barking spiders in DC!

My five year old grand daughter would appreciate it, also.
My ten year olds are getting to be too "appropriate."
School does that to kids.
Until they get to be adults and become politicians ...
there are plenty of gigantic barfing, er, barking spiders
