Mutation on EE 'black stem' - check it out

onlychange(7a VA)April 2, 2009

check it out all.. it has 2 leaves, and the stem looks conjoined (its a little blurry from the macro). I wonder if two new leaves will emerge from that single (yet double) stem.

any thoughts?

I've had that phenomenon occur on a large Alocasia x portora as well as a couple of other hybrids I've done. Sadly, it lasts for just the one leaf; the following leaves come out normal. See the link below and look at the end of the leaf right in front.
