Hi, I've grown lime zinger for several years but this is the first time I've seen variegation on the leaves. There is dark green, white and gray.john
Here is a link that might be useful:
Oh, that's nice, John! Cross your fingers that it holds it and that new leaves have more--you could make your fortune (or grow a very pretty plant that no one else has!) Are you looking, Randy English?
Mine get a few patches like that from time to time, usually with just different shades of darker green. It comes and goes and is always just a tiny spot, like yours.
Mine also get the darker green patches on occassion. I've never noticed white.
Any more variegation?
I always find it fascinating how a light patch of unexpected variegation is so often accompanied by a patch that is DARKER than the base color of the plant. I always think of different colored paint pigments standing up and walking to opposite corners or something. LOL. Of course, there is nothing like paint pigment involved in the process but I still find it very curious.
