variegation

Hi, I've grown lime zinger for several years but this is the first time I've seen variegation on the leaves.There is dark green,white and gray.john

Oh, that's nice, John! Cross your fingers that it holds it and that new leaves have more--you could make your fortune (or grow a very pretty plant that no one else has!) Are you looking, Randy English?

Mine get a few patches like that from time to time, usually with just different shades of darker green. It comes and goes and is always just a tiny spot, like yours.

Mine also get the darker green patches on occassion. I've never noticed white.

I always find it fascinating how a light patch of unexpected variegation is so often accompanied by a patch that is DARKER than the base color of the plant. I always think of different colored paint pigments standing up and walking to opposite corners or something. LOL. Of course, there is nothing like paint pigment involved in the process but I still find it very curious.
