Is my A. paeoniifolius trying to tell me something?

It has shot up one big leaf/stalk and looks great. It's probably been that way for about 3 weeks. Now all of the sudden I see another one just starting to poke through the soil. Does this tell me anything about my care of the plant so far?

That is...too much fertilizer, too wet, too dry, or anything like that?

Hi Joe, The tuber you planted likely had a small offset that you did not recognize and that is now growing....perfectly normal and you will pull two tubers out if the fall....these offsets stay close to mom as opposed to the rhizomatous offsets of konjac. Sounds like it is off to a fine start for you :o) Dan
