Help ID Amorphophallus

roxxanneJune 30, 2007

It might be too early to tell since I haven't had a flower and it hasn't grown much yet this year but can anyone take a guess? I'm leaning toward rivieri. Take a peek

Hi Roxxanne,
not to tell I'm a (great) identifier, but your plant looks like A. konjac - like dozens of mine.

For what it's worth--konjac used to be rivieri. Rivieri is what I learned first. Konjac sounds like a nickname or something, doesn't it?

I agree...I'm no expert, but it looks like Konjac. Was the tuber rather smooth, slow to start growth?
