R. canescens 'Claire'

This native azalea is very vigorous, and it's already blooming profusely. I think the flowers on this cultivar are especially pretty -

I planted R. canescens Varnadoe's Phlox Pink but -wimper- it did not make it. R. austrinum Sunsprite did make it, however! How tall has Claire gotten? How tall is it supposed to get?

Luis pr, as I recall, it was about 6" tall last spring when I got it, it grew to about ?2 1/2' tall over the spring and summer, and I planted it last fall. The growth rate isn't so remarkable, but named cultivars frequently aren't as vigorous as the species. The flowers on this one are bigger than the species, too. It's starting to grow again, and it'll be interesting to see how much it grows this year. I don't know what the eventual height is supposed to be, but I've got some r. canescens that are ?12' tall, so it may get tall.
My woods are smelling SO good these days!
