Although these specimens are currently bringing a high price in the country of Indonesia, they are both quite common in the United States and can easily be purchased for aroudn $20 per plant. Your best bet for selling these will likely be within your country, not the United States. I know growers who actually destroy some of these plants since they are so common.

This link will help you understand why.

Just for the record, the ExoticRainforest is not a plant nursery or commercial entity. We do not sell plants or seeds. We do not charge a fee for the use of our website or the information provided by recognized experts. And at no place do we imply to be experts. We simply counsel with and quote expert sources. We offer only information regarding exotic plant species, primarily aroids.

Our site was created as a record of our own collection and to promote the collection of aroid and related species. We work closely with the International Aroid Society and seek the counsel of well known botanists such as Dr. Tom Croat of the Missouri Botanical Garden (America's top aroid botanist), Peter Boyce in Singapore (the world's top Alocasia expert), and numerous noted aroid experts such as Leland Miyano, Julius Boos, Joep Moonen, and aroid expert Dr. Eduardo Gonçalves in Brazil in order to offer accurate, scientifically verified information.

The vast majority of the over 300 pages on our site have been vetted by experts including those listed above and others in the field of aroids and tropical species. Rather than offer our own opinion, you'll find numerous quotes from these well known experts in the field of aroids and other species. Much of the information provided is quoted directly from the journals of noted plant experts.

Please do not construe our posts as commercial efforts. Just look at our homepage. It clearly states we do not sell plants. That is repeated quite often throughout the website. There have been efforts in some quarters to suggest we do this for commercial purposes. That is simply not accurate. However, many growers have differing opinions on how any given species should be grown. Each grower is obviously entitled to their own methodology and opinion. We simply strive to duplicate nature's methods as close as possible and follow the counsel of the experts we trade information with on a near daily basis.

If you are interested in aroids, please consider joining the International Aroid Society which is a non-profit organization that, for 30 years, has promoted accurate information regarding aroid species.
