Do your rhodies smell like pine?

Do your rhodies smell like pine? Is this a certain type or possibly something was sprayed on mine that makes them smell like this? It is the leaves and stems not the flowers.

Hmm.. it is very strange.

Are they growing under pine trees? Pine sap tends to drip on to things under pine trees. That is what gives pine trees their aroma. I have been around lots of different rhododendrons for lots of years and never noticed a pine smell on any.
