Witches Broom Azalea

Team24Dupont(7)August 11, 2005

Found a witches broom in a Girard Rose Azalea at the nursery I work at. It's about the size of a softball. Co-worker snapped it off by accident, but I have it sitting in water and was going to try and root some branches with rooting hormone...Any suggestions??

Girard Rose is notorious to produce witches brooms.
No wonder it's a parent to so many cultivars.
Maybe you could have something interesting.
Anyway, propagation link is below.
