Mystery Vine

spiltaraAugust 26, 2013

I just bought a house (and a yard!) so am completely new to gardening and therefore learning what things are and what to do as I go... I found this vine/squash looking thing over a month ago and it didn't look like a weed so I left it and now it's taking over the marigolds and roses. Does anyone know what it is? Should I keep it?

It looks like some sort of squash or gourd or cucumber, but until it blooms and sets fruit you won't know

leave it or remove it, it's your choice.
