Transplanting peonies

suzygardener(nw alabama z7)January 12, 2007

Can I safely transplant peonies at this time of the year? These are some of my grandmothers and I would hate to kill them.

Thanks in advance for your advice!

Transplanting peonies now won't kill them. Just as when they are transplanted in the fall, it may take several years for them to bloom again.
