Planting field peas

gingerhappyMarch 18, 2007

Since I will not be moving to Al until the end of May will

it be too late to plant zipper peas?

Any suggestion on other vegs. to plant?

Thanks so much

In fact, I think you will find that Field-type peas planted in May in very warm ground will catch-up with those planted in cool ground. They will sprout quicker and grow quickly. Many people will plant field peas on Good Friday (April 13). Waiting two or 3 more weeks will only mean you have a later harvest by a few days.
