Agastache

I have not had any luck having Agastache establishing as a perennial. Has anyone succeeded with any type in this genus? If so, what kind?

Do you have an automatic irrigation system? I blame the failure on lots of plants on the use of sprinkler systems.

The only irrigation system is a manual Model 1 biscuit-fueled one, 67 years old and badly in need of repair.

Kenneth,

I try to always have agastache 'Blue Fortune' growing somewhere in the yard each year, but I treat it as an annual because it rarely comes back for me. It's worth replacing each year though, given the amazing number of insects that enjoy the blooms that last from late Spring until Fall.

I find them short lived, but they reseed around and are worth replanting...a wonderful plant!
