Where can I buy Mutabilis in Alabama?

danna(8a Central AL)May 23, 2007

Hi, Gardening Friends...it's been way too long. I now teach first grade and am happy that the roses, now in their home locations for the third year, are leaping and moderately self-sufficient. I'm blessed!

I would like to acquire 5 or 6 Mutabilis ("antique China shrub") rose bushes to plant outside our school windows, obviously at the most reasonable cost since this is out-of-pocket. My favorite AL nursery is currently out of Mutabilis. It may be the same everywhere, but I did want to know if you had seen any, out and about, at any local nursery in your area.

Once Southern Homes and Gardens had these in 1-gallon pots for $4.95 each. I wish to goodness I'd snatched up some then. Alas...

Thanks for any help you can give.

Happy gardening!

I was at Petals from the Past yesterday and they have Mutabilis. The one gallon is $15 dollars. They usually have a 1/2 price sale in mid-June.
