dead-heading Shasta Daisies question

alagard(alaz8)June 10, 2006

How far down do I cut the blooms off? I don't reaaly see where it looks like another bloom is going to come out, so I'm not sure if I cut the stem all the way down to the main bushy part or not...

Cut the stems down as far down as you can slip your snips. New blooms will not emerge from those stems, but will arise from the crown. Cut a few to put in vases while still fresh!!!

Thanks, I didn't think there where more blooms anywhere but I wasn't sure. Now I will cut them with no fear!
