how do I plant flower shop hydrangeas

arenee(7)June 17, 2008

We just received several hydrangeas from the flower shop. I've never planted them in the yard. What kind of exposure, care, water--or anything else I need to know.

Wish me luck!!

My sister is a floral manager for a store which will remain unnamed. The store manager is notorious for putting pots of hydrangeas outside and not allocating time to water them. They droop due to lack of water and he throws them in the trash. She buys them for 50 cents and brings them home. She has filled her back and side yard with "florist" hydrangeas. She plants them just like any you buy at a nursery. They are NOT in full sun. They are so pretty this year.

WOW! Would love to catch that deal. Would she share any? I will pay her.
