Cast Iron Leaf Plants

plantfriend(8A)July 1, 2014

Have quite a lot of Cast Iron Leaves. They reproduce themselves. They stay green all year long, unless you have severe freezing. They're great to go around trees. Will mail them for postage. They grow quite large.

I would love love love to have them. Had them established at my last home - had to leave all my great plants behind. You are so nice to offer. I'm in GA, zip 30518.

When do you think would be a good time to dig and send? Maybe wait until Fall? Don't think you can kill them though. I need plants in my really dry shady back garden.

Found this link to make sure we're talking about the same plant: http://www.finegardening.com/cast-iron-plant-aspidistra-elatior

Thanks much,
Rosie, Sugar Hill, GA
