Does anyone in the Florence AL area have a confederate rose I could get cuttings from?? I work in Florence so any reasonable driving distance is ok. I live in southern TN. thanks!
Hey, Cottagegirl. Find someone now who can give you cuttings but wait until frost to collect them. Pot the cuttings in Fall and sit them in a warm, sunny place or under a light. They will be growing and well rooted by Spring. They are like most perennials in that they fit the old adage: first year they sleep, second year they creep and the third year they leap. It will be the third year before you see a beautiful plant. Be sure to get about 6 cuttings so it fills-out quicker. Do you know which variety are you wanting? LMK - Terry
