What should I do about my ferns?

blooms38(z8 se al)July 17, 2007

Something is eating my ferns. They look snaggled-toothed. Also there are bites in my blackeyed susans and angel trumpet. I hate to spray because of the bees and buterflies. What should I use. Should I spray at night?

I think you should search for the culprit at night. Knowing what kind of critter you need to get under control is a very important first step. You can streamline the control measures, rather than use a 'nuke 'em all' method.
