What is the name for the regular green leaved banana plant--large pink blooms-little green bananas? Wanted to put an ID tag beside it but don't know what it's called. Thanks Jan

Could it be Musa ornata? The website linked below says it is hardy in Zone 9 and higher, but I have been growing it for a couple of years in zone 8.

Jan,
Over on the banana forum, there is a post about how to pollinate the ornatas so that the fruit actually grows and sets seed. Linked below as you might find it interesting.
