Overwintering Alliums

Mark(Oregon, Zone 8)March 24, 2012

A few photos taken today of some of my overwintering alliums.

The beds are 220' long, 4 rows to a bed. In total there are 4 onion beds, 3 garlic and 1 shallot. There is more garlic planted in another field next door.

It is March 25 and the garlic is up 4-8 inches due to the warm weather and tonight it will be 18 degrees. What do I need to do to protect the garlic or do I need to?
