Korean Red Asiatic Question

obrionusa(5)August 30, 2011

I decided to plant the Asiatic garlic because it is the earliest to harvest according to Gourmet Garlic. Here is what they say "They are the very earliest harvesting of all garlics and if you can grow them you'll have garlic before anyone else is anywhere near ready to harvest"

Can someone tell me how much earlier they come on than the other hardnecks?

I live in a similar zone to the one you have indicated. My Asiatics come at the beginning of my harvest. The window changes from year to year, but I harvest all of my 20+ varieties over a six week window where Asiatics are the very first part of that window. This year, my Asiatics were mid-June.
