elephant garlic, dug, separated 2 cloves by helpfuls

merrybookwyrmAugust 22, 2010

I had planned on leaving the extra elephant garlic in the ground. My DD dug it up, separated it into cloves, and brought it to me. She was a dear.

Being as it is 104F and sunny, please point me to how best to store the cloves for planting and for eating?

Thank you,

Hello Merry

What is DD or even DH? Put the cloves into a paper or net bag so it can breath and place it in a cool place in the house. Never in the fridge. From my limited experience, elephant cloves last a long time.

Thank you for helping the elephant garlic.

DD = Dear Daughter, DH = Dear Husband, DS = Dear Son, DW = Dear Wife

Believe these can also mean D#@n Daughter, Husband, Son, or Wife, depending on the situation.
