106 Lbs of onions

qbush(6, NE MA)September 30, 2013

I MADE it! 106 lbs of onions this year, weighed after they had dried, and not counting all the ones we ate fresh, or the Alisa Craigs!!! ( DH doesn't like sweet onions, and we started grilling the Red marble, and only about half made it to the scale...)

Just wanted to say thanks to MadronDeb, Planatus, and Jonfrom for pertinent advise, and humor!

Next years goal: Orange vegetables!

NO prob: Soup, Onion casserole, grilled, sautéed for omelettes, sausage sandwichwiches.....

Thanks for all the advice, I dried them all with tops on, and have yet to see any spoilage. The only issue I am facing is that I may get to be a glassblower again this year, and there goes my 50 degree room. WiIl have to scramble for storage space...
