Hi ,New member

organicstarbuck(7)February 27, 2010

I just wanted to say hello to everyone. I have been looking for a site where growers of amaryllis could discuss their technicques, treasures, and general love of the plant. I have been stalking the site and have found tons of information. I would love to upload a picture of my 9 year old beauty, unfortunately I do not know how here, but am going to the test forum directly after this to learn. :)

Thanks for all the info.

I suggest that you google "upload photos" I like photobucket, but that's only because it's what I learned to use first and find easy.Google will show you several. Once they are on a server like photobucket, you can put them on any forum by simply copying an html code near the photo,in most cases, then pasting it in a post. With photobucket you can paste a (thumbnail) small picture, which readers can click on to get a much larger picture if wanted.

Thanks Del for the information. I will try to get one up and posted today. I am fascinated with everyones knowledge on the subject of breeding and hybridizing. I have done most of my amaryllis eduation alone, but am excited to be here amongst fellow gardeners, and addicts, of this spectacular plant.

Thanks so much

Hi Organicstarbuck, And I would recommend Picasa, it's free and the other half of us who don't use PhotoBucket use Picasa. I had quite the time learning to post pictures, but I was just making 1 stupid mistake and now I can do it with my eyes closed (just kidding), very easy
though. Good Luck with which ever method you choose!

Thanks Donna, will give both of them a try!
Definitely will have to get photos up now. This is the first year that I have gotten 9 blooms on one plant. I did not even know that was possible. It was a very nice surprise.

Thanks again for the advice!
