what are some your gardening tips handed down to you by you elders (ancestors). One thing my family does, is the first wash of red lentils or rice, we save that water and use it on our vegetable plants.

One garden tip that my ancestors gave me is to use rice hulls. Rice hulls will help soil have moisture and prevent soil around the plants getting dry.
