WANTED: Drip system

DesertoracleSeptember 15, 2012

I have a drip system with1/2-inch distribution tubing. This tubing is connected to the main water supply and brings the water to the 1/4-inch distribution tubing, or emitter tubing. I have a leak in the 1/2-inch distribution tubing. I cut out the damaged section of the line, inserted an additional length of drip line and use fittings to seal the connections. There is still a strong leak flow. The water entering the connecting replacement section of tubing comes from the right but the water leaking flows right back in the direction of the water entering the tubing. I believe the 1/2-inch distribution tubing ends a few feet from my repair. Is it possible that the water is back flowing?
