blueberries in arizona

maggie_magillJanuary 30, 2008

Last year I purchased a blueberry bush, it gets pretty hot here in the summer, but not that bad as im in northern AZ. The plant survived the summer, but our soil here is alkaline, around 7.5 to 8. Ive been adding coffee grounds around the plant. I wonder if there is any chance of it growing well. Do any of you have blueberry bushes? IF so is there anything I can do to help it grow well here?
