Grubs (scarab)

DriverDanFebruary 9, 2013

My vegetable garden in Scottsdale Arizona (USA) has been overrun by a white grub. After some research, it seems seems to be either a European Chafer, June Beatle or Oriental beatles. It is difficult to tell by the Raster, but there are definitely two parallel lines of hairs.

I am afraid they are going to eat the roots of my recently planted veggies.

Any suggestions?

If they're big and white, with a little black/red head, and living in your mulch/soil, they're June beetles. I had them all over. I watered my plants with a mixture of a dab of dish soap and a teaspoon of neem oil. They were gone by morning.
