My Encore's are still blooming!

I love azaleas and got some Pink Encore Azaleas (3) They had an astonishing pink flush in Mid March-April and bloomed in late July and still are blooming today. Should I be worried I really want some blooms/growth next year. Do they bloom in fall? and if so do they set more buds? My dogwood tree already has its leaves dark red and so do all the other surronding trees.

Encore azaleas are a compromise. What they call a feature is considered a problem with other azaleas. They first bloom on buds that went dormant during the winter. Then they bloom on new growth. Ideally these blooms will not exhaust the buds and some buds will be left for next spring. However, I am guessing that the early spring we had and the mild fall we are experiencing will take its toll on the spring bloom.

On the bright side, Encore azaleas were developed near the Gulf Coast so they should be able to take these conditions, so hope for the best. There is nothing you can do about it except wait and see.
