Help identifying this vine in Mexico

ldramey01April 24, 2013

I spotted this plant in Cabo San Lucas last week and I must know what it is, I'd love to plant this in my own yard to break up the stucco wall. It creeps and vines really well and has a clean and tidy look to it, very low litter. Can anyone tell me what it is? This one was growing on an East facing wall but it was growing on other walls too. Parts of the stem look like it has "sticker like" pieces that grab on to the stucco. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Not sure, but look up Ficus pumila and see if that looks right.

Yep, that's it! After reading up on it I'm not sure I want it afterall. It sounds really invasive and as though, once planted, it never goes away. Luckily the wall I want to cover isn't really connected to anything else near our house but is a shared wall with a neighbor.

Thanks for your help!
