Will miracle fruit grow here?

toucan(9)April 13, 2013

I've purchased a miracle fruit tree. Will it grow here. I've read it likes acidic soil so I'm going to grow it in a pot. Will it survive our heat? I'm planning on putting it in the covered patio where it will get bright filtered sun.

If you successfully keep its alive, please share.

People have successfully grown them potted in their homes in Maricopa Co.. They definitely don't survive on their own outside. Parked in a porch or on the east side of a primary tree canopy in the summer for some transpiration---well, I guess you would be an AZ RFG if successful.
