Anyone Growing Sweetpotatos?

Centurion_(Verde Valley AZ Z8)May 12, 2013

We're at 3500 feet elevation, and soil is mostly clay. We grew them successfully at Lake Havasu, but conditions were somewhat different there.

Any tips, suggestions, or advice on varieties, methods of planting, etc. etc?

Just stick them in the ground. They flourish.

I just planted two in big half-barrels. They're supposed to be a bushy variety I'm not familiar with. Hope they do well. I have two vining types in ground.
