Potting Mix For Growing Bananas in Containers

For those that are growing bananas in containers, what kind of potting mix are you using? Is straight Miracle Gro or Pro-Mix decent or is a custom blend recommended?

I use "Miracle Grow" and like it very much!! Have never used "Promix"...

Almost anything works. I have even potted them in pure compost, and they are fine, though I usually use some perlite in with the compost.

Miracle Gro works great. If you overwinter indoors, don't water too much as it tends to hold a lot of water but outdoors that is a good thing.
