Is this going to get scary?

Planted a one gallon arrow bamboo(psuedosasa japonica) last fall and it died to the ground. It is now growing from the main plant and sending shoots up a foot away.I am in zone six and "heard" this was not that invasive,But I'm wondering. I would be grateful for any imput.I am just thinking of future years.

A foot away is NOTHING for non-clumping spreading bamboos. Actually, Pseudosasa japonica is relatively well behaved. I have not found it to be anywhere as aggressive as aureus or a number of other species. I am in a zone 7 (with long hot summers) and have learned my lesson with other species. Lucky you planted japonica and not some really aggressive species.
